Many in our generation are crying out for something or someone authentic and inspirational – while at the same time entertaining. Unfortunately, too often, that call is drowned in an ocean of pop-culture chaos.
From homemade videos on YouTube to video games, to multi-million-dollar movie and TV productions, today’s children are too often inundated with images and messages ranging from the violent to the obscene. Statistics show that the average child will spend 18,000 hours in front of the TV by the time they graduate from high school. That is 5,000 hours more than they will spend in school for 12 years. With morality, equality, tolerance, fairness, and justice under siege on many fronts, we are in desperate need of true heroes.
This need has inspired a grassroots movement with many individuals now proactively engaging the culture by meeting it on its own ground. Creating films with uplifting and inspiring messages has become a passion for many, including those of us at Crystal Creek Media. We believe that now is the time for change as our industry enters a technological renaissance. Today is the day for like-minded people to use powers of media to communicate the eternal message of hope and goodness.
